The Medicine Program at Oak Valley Health provides our local communities with both inpatient units and outpatient clinics. We are here to take care of you and your loved ones during your times of need.
Medical inpatient units
The medical inpatient units in our Medicine Program provide acute care for adults with medical conditions – distinctive from surgical care needs. Our inpatient services include an Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Medicine/Oncology Unit, Integrated Stroke Unit, and Cardiology Unit. Nearly one-third of our beds are equipped with portable heart monitors and are known as “telemetry beds” at Markham Stouffville Hospital.

Medical outpatient clinics
At Markham Stouffville Hospital, we have a medical outpatient clinic focused on general internal medicine. We also offer medical outpatient clinics for asthma, diabetes, chest pain, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), seniors’ health, stroke prevention, and sleep. In addition, our Medicine Program has a Lifestyle Education and Exercise Program (LEEP) to help patients with cerebral vascular disease.
At Uxbridge Hospital, we have medical outpatient clinics for diabetes and allergy.
