Research at Oak Valley Health
Research is being conducted across all departments and specialties at Oak Valley Health. Studies include various methodologies such as clinical trials, chart reviews, surveys, and qualitative research.
The Office of Research acts as a liaison between Principal investigators and other groups, such as sponsors, agencies, and other institutions, both internally and externally. We offer regulatory and financial support for all types of research studies.
The Office of Research provides the following services:
- Clinical research support: Our team of clinical research coordinators and assistants can help provide support for conducting your research study. Our coordinators/assistants are available to assist with end-to-end clinical trial administration and protocol implementation.
- Research contracts and agreements: We can help facilitate the contractual review process between the principal investigator and the sponsor/granting agency.
- Budget review and negotiations: Our office has negotiated fees for research approved by various departments at Oak Valley Health. Our staff will review proposed budgets, put together a budget using our set fees and rates, and negotiate with sponsors on the principal investigators behalf.
- Research and education: We provide assistance on questions related to local, federal, departmental, or standard operational policies associated with research. This includes, Health Canada Food and Drug Regulations (FDR), the Tri-Council Policy Statement: Ethical Conduct for Research Involving Humans (TCPS 2), and The International Conference on Harmonization: Good Clinical Practice (ICH:E6).
