Dr. John Kao is a graduate of the University of British Columbia’s Bachelor of Science, Honours Physiology 1988, where he achieved the highest graduating score of the year and the Edgar Black Scholarship Prize.
He then entered the Faculty of Medicine at UBC, graduating in the top 10%, and entered the University of Toronto Surgical Internship Program. He then spent five years in the University of Toronto Plastic Surgery Program, graduating in 1998, and has been at the Markham Stouffville Hospital as active staff since then.
In addition, he has been acting as consulting physician to Mackenzie and Southlake hospitals since 1998.
He is an active member of the Canadian Society of Plastic Surgeons, and the Canadian Society of Aesthetic (Cosmetic) Plastic Surgery. He has attended many courses and seminars in order to keep up-to-date on the latest and best technologies and skills required for excellent results for his patients. He prides himself on having a personable and caring bedside manner, in addition to excellent surgical results.
He also has a private surgical facility at the Markham Institute of Cosmetic Plastic Surgery, where he spends time performing cosmetic surgeries, injections and fillers.
