Dr. Halik is an internationally recognized ear surgeon for his research, teaching and participation as faculty and guest at numerous meetings and workshops around the world. After completion of his specialty training and post-doctoral studies in ear surgery, he was appointed to the Faculty of Medicine in Toronto and a full-time appointment at St. Michael’s Hospital. He was recruited and joined Oak Valley Health as the first Chief of Surgery in 1989. He and his team continue to provide leading edge care for ear disorders and hearing correction with referrals from the local medical community as well as from other specialists around the province. He has taught over 40 specialists from around the world where many are working in academic settings in their home countries.
