Dr. James Carson has been a family physician in Unionville since 1983 with a focused practice in sport medicine. He is an associate professor in the Department of Family and Community Medicine at the University of Toronto. Dr. Carson has had a long association with Oak Valley Health’s Markham Stouffville Hospital. He delivered the first baby boy born at the hospital after it opened in 1990. He was a preceptor teaching resident doctors at the Health for All Family Medicine Teaching Unit on a weekly basis for five years and he welcomed every resident to his practice for a musculoskeletal core rotation for three years. His current research focuses upon the return to learn after a sport-related concussion.
