Investments in Hospital Infrastructure Will Help End Hallway Health Care
UXBRIDGE — Patients and families in growing communities like Uxbridge are receiving care in facilities with aging infrastructure and not enough capacity to meet growing demands. That’s why Ontario is investing in hospital infrastructure projects in communities across the province to add more beds and help end hallway health care.
Today, Christine Elliott, Deputy Premier and Minister of Health, was joined by Peter Bethlenfalvy, President of the Treasury Board and MPP for Pickering-Uxbridge, to announce that Ontario is investing up to $500,000 to support Markham Stouffville Hospital with early capital planning for the proposed major redevelopment of its Uxbridge site.
