Gita completed medical school and residency at McMaster University as well as a Master’s degree in reproductive and sexual health research at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She completed a fellowship in women’s health and minimally invasive surgery at St. Michael’s Hospital. Currently, Gita is actively involved in the local women’s health community. Her committee time focuses on developing ongoing improvements to patient care to reduce risk and improve safety for pregnant mothers and their babies. She is deeply concerned with optimizing health and well being for women across their life span, whether they require patient education, medical management or surgical intervention. Gita loves her profession, working as part of a team at Oak Valley Health, and continues to find caring for women highly gratifying.
