Biography

Dr. Amir Barsoum was appointed as our new Chief of Psychiatry at Oak Valley Health for October 1, 2024.

Dr. Barsoum is a current staff Psychiatrist appointed to Markham Stouffville Hospital in 2012. Amir received his medical degree from Queen’s University, and completed his residency at McGill University.

He has provided care at Bellwood Health Services – Addictions Treatment Facility, Michael Garron – Toronto East General Hospital, Jean Tweed Centre – Addictions Treatment Facility for Women and the Centre for Addictions and Mental Health (CAMH) over the course of his career.
