At Oak Valley Health, we know that many of our patients want their partners-in-care and family members involved in their care and care planning. Research has shown that the presence of family not only enriches the patient and family experience. It also enhances continuity of care, improves the management of chronic and acute illnesses, and prevents hospital readmissions.
Our Family Presence Policy enables 24/7 access for your care partners, allowing them to spend more time with you during your stay at the hospital. This unrestricted visiting hours policy focuses on working with you and your care partners on your health care, care planning, and decision-making. You decide who you want involved during your stay at the hospital.
Essential caregiver program
At Oak Valley Health, we appreciate the impact of family, friends, loved ones, and caregivers on patient experience and safety. It is also our priority to keep patients, staff, and visitors safe. As such, the Essential Caregiver Program was developed to safely reintegrate loved ones in the patients care throughout their hospital journey.
Visiting hours
General visiting hours are 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m. During this time, visitors or family members may come and provide well wishes. Between the hours of 10 p.m. – 6 a.m. each night, our hospitals observe quiet time to help you and our other patients get enough rest.
After-hours visiting
Most doors are locked after hours. If you are visiting a loved one during this time, please use the entrance in the Emergency Department.
