Dr. Stephen Fitch recently retired as an oral and maxillofacial surgeon with over thirty years of experience in his field.

He was the first oral and maxillofacial surgeon appointed to the Department of Surgery at Markham Stouffville Hospital, and held that position until his retirement. He practiced in Markham with his wife, a periodontist, from 1986 until 2017. He has participated in many voluntary professional organizations serving as a President of the Ontario Society of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons and the York Region Dental Society. He has also been a Governor of the Ontario Dental Association and a representative on its specialist committee. He was also Board Chair of Holy Trinity School and President of the Medical Staff Association of the Scarborough Grace General Hospital.
