Description of services
Low risk birthing parents and their infants who qualify for early discharge may leave the hospital within 6-12 hours after birth. A Registered Midwife will visit the family at home within 24 hours of discharge and provide the following services:
- Routine newborn blood tests
- Weight check and feeding support
- Wellness check for baby and parent

If you are interested in early discharge, please speak to your nurse or physician once you are admitted to the childbirth unit.
